Future landscapes
Hi everyone,
this is an infographic I created, focusing on design choices that landscape architects can make to help shape more ecological and livable urban environments. Landscape architecture is a small and often underrecognized field in Finland, and its environmental impact is not always well understood. However, it plays a crucial role in the cities of the future, especially as urban areas become denser and the threats of climate change can no longer be addressed with words alone—we need solutions that are both ecological and aesthetically pleasing. These are the reasons I chose to do this kind of topic instead of my journey as a practitioner.
I hope this is informative and thought-provoking.

VastaaPoistaHi Emma! I love how minimalistic yet meaningful your infographic is. It's really easy to read, and you were able to use different font weights to enhance hierarchy in your wording really well.
VastaaPoistaAs much as I love minimalistic things, though, I wish you had added a bit more color. I believe the whole structure of the infographic is amazing, but maybe you could have added colorful icons to make it a bit more appealing for those of us who are into colorful things.
Nevertheless, your work is very beautiful and clear. I love it!
Best,
Valeria

VastaaPoistaHi Emma! Thank you for a very interesting and easy to read infographic!
VastaaPoistaThe sub-categories are well formulated and the icons support the topic perfectly!
As prior knowledge of the topic may vary from person to person, I find this infographic to summarise "Future landscapes" very well!
Other than the topics presented in this infographic I'd like to see some visual representation, maybe a simple map of how these topics interact
Whilst the simplistic approach is very pleasant visually, I'd wish to see a bit more use of colour to support the message, other than this I don't find much to be changed or improved as your infographic already conveys the message quite well!
Awesome work!
Best regards,
Nico
Hi Emma☀️
VastaaPoistaI like how your infographic gives a quick and clear overview of important ways landscape architecture can support sustainability. It’s informative without being too text-heavy.
I wish the infographic included a small real-life example or image to help connect the ideas to something concrete.
Great job overall, it’s clear and thoughtful!
